President Obama is laying the groundwork for a future persecution of Christians, if not an all-out war on religion. He may not be doing it knowingly, but this is the basis for the mindset that will allow for a dangerous propaganda against the Jewish and Christian faiths.
I have been trying to ignore the reports on President Obama’s unwillingness to attribute today’s terrorist threats around the world to radical Islam, but his attitude at the National Prayer Breakfast this week (click here for the Breitbart.com account), really was a bit more than I keep silence about.
He may not even know it, but he is essentially laying the groundwork for a future persecution of Christianity. It is in a nutshell the mindset that will allow for the propaganda against the Jewish and Christian faiths that will come along in the not too distant future. It makes the seemingly impossible seem sadly plausible. It takes me a small step closer to being proved right, so why don’t I feel good about this?
It is hard to think that a place like the United States can go from a state of great religious freedoms to a state of great religious persecution. It is even harder to think that our own leader(s) could instigate such a drastic change. Whether or not it will be our own leader(s) playing a key role in bringing us down, it is America’s inevitable fall that will trigger a widespread collapse of religious freedoms worldwide.
President Obama’s mindset makes me realize more fully that America may not be the last to resist a world-wide persecution, for it could well be among the primary catalysts.
